Why don't we talk anymore?Well, what do you want to talk about? Why aren't there any good rivalries anymore?Not sure about anyone else, but in my case it's just that I don't have the time or motivation for it anymore. I'm sure if I wanted to, I could follow that guy with a million-and-one usernames at Port Saiid back to his nest and give him a run for his money, but I'm just not interested. Maybe, if he shows up again, I'll see if I can throw together a DBDH Arena. I actually had thought of writing a Blabber Wars sketch in which each of his usernames squares off against someone he's fought with in the past, but I'm a little shaky on who actually argued with him under what names and what those fights were about. It's difficult to even research it because a lot of his posts were deleted or edited out. Where are we TRULY headed????Nowhere. The world will eventually come to an end and all life is meaningless. The reason we don't have any rivalries is because our community only has people who have stuck around. Anyone who had enough of a problem with us to be a
rival simply left. I know that's the way I was with most other messageboards -- I could have stuck around to argue with some people, but I just stopped
posting instead.
Sometimes people stick with a board that they have lots of "rivals" at either if they have enough friends there, or if the board is busy enough. I think another issue with why we had more rivals in the past is that there were fewer videogame communities, so you couldn't pick and choose. Even today, almost all of us came from one single large board. We could have "rivals" with other sites, as opposed to people who visit our board, but, eh. Also (and I don't know how true this is) according to something I heard at another message board, the second "Slayer" may actually be a different person than the first one. I don't know how they determined that, though. The "second" one clearly admitted to being the first one several times, both at my place and others. But those people who said that about him also said that the second one "managed to be much worse" than the original (but they didn't elaborate on what that meant). So apparently, we're not the only ones he's given grief to. I guess that doesn't really surprise me. I think he might have been one of the people who was always giving Kiera a hard time at the Game Pond, which he pretty much confessed to me in an email a long time ago.

I'm one of the people he "fought" with. Maybe you could write a match where I predict what attack he's going to use (like how I predicted he
would make a hostile response), and I evade his attacks for awhile because he telegraphs everything. The rest is up to you to come up with.
Since I use a Jaquio avatar and he used a Ryu Hayabusa one, maybe you could work that into the match somehow, too. |

Ezboard rivalries were funny for awhile but there comes a point when it gets old and you just want to have normal conversation. Hence, why I left Team-VZQ.
I'd be all for another DBDH Arena though. The internet doesn't make me laugh as much as it used to.

ones in the past were kind of unique, which is what made parodying them in DBDH Arena work so well. But take a look at any of the recent people and they're
just typically hostile internet types that you can find on any message board or blog.

One thing I've noticed about modern-day lamers is that they have little to no personality beyond just being the typical forum troll.Well, I basically said the same thing elsewhere - I Like Beans was the last "lamer" who was unique and even funny sometimes. Everyone since him has been an unfunny GH64 clone.
