The only thing is that Pepper's nickname practically is StumbleUpon.

Well, I for one think it's great that our cat embodies the spirit of sites that hate us.

I love the most recent comment here.
In all seriousness, Tab is pretty much the only reason I haven't killed myself. |

tabb was a board that had a topic for posting pictures of yourself (like a lot of boards do), and when I posted some of myself, one of the moderators
didn't believe they were from within the past few years. I said that they were and he sent me an email telling me to "get the fuck out" and
kicked me off the forum.

If I had any regrets at all about making fun of this site, they all just went out the window.

I tried registering an account, and someone already took my internet handle! What the hell? This happened to me at YouTube, too. I had to register there under
"teh_greybob," instead.

Okay, after re-reading this topic, I realized that I probably made the wrong call on StumbleUpon over at Port Saiid. I assumed (since they certainly don't make it clear) that the reason they got upset over the NES & SNES Nudity article was because they were offended by it. Now after reading Junus's and Tyler's posts, I'm beginning to think the REAL reason is because it WAS a tasteful article and not furry porn or tentacle rape.

They were expecting a lot more than this site can and ever will offer.

I probably should just edit out my post there. You guys do such a good job, I think it'd be even funnier if my post wasn't there.

I did something really stupid. I registered my StumbleUpon account to a different Yahoo email than my normal address (I guess because I was unsure of the site
and didn't want to get spam from it), but then I forgot the passwords to both the SU account and the new Yahoo account. So, I might have to re-register as
Bananaquit2 if I can't find them or figure them out. (If I want to make another prank review, that is. Maybe I could even make a joke about that and work
it into the review...)

The one that really puzzled me was the time that someone put that "Catch'em Clyde" thing on SU. True that I allow people to bookmark any page of mine that they want, but why put that on SU of all things? I've come to find out that although the original intention of StumbleUpon was to help people find interesting websites, the userbase has turned it into
more of a site for intentionally trolling other sites. I never saw the commentary under the Catch'em Clyde page, but I wouldn't be surprised if the
reason it was put on there is because someone did think it was stupid, and something like the RAU Gallery won't get on there because it is legitimately
good.
I also found this, which I thought was hilarious, in particular these quotes: Visitors are new: The traffic which is diverted from stumbleupon is mostly comprised of 95% visitors that are new and thus have very little idea about your website. No regular and loyal visitors and readers! LOL. I said before that SU visitors are people who have no idea what a website is, and I was being somewhat tongue-in-cheek with that statement, but it looks like it's more true than what I realized.
LMAO!!! That also correlates with what I said in the first post of this topic.
It also sounds like the people running SU are total assholes... Maybe there's just too much room to abuse it, but I'm still not fond of the idea of being able to put any website you want on StumbleUpon besides
your own. Crawl talked earlier in this topic about how it was difficult for webmasters of 1.0 sites to promote them and get traffic, and this type of rule only
makes that iron wall even sturdier.
