Sometimes I still find them annoying, but I've been getting a little more into their music lately than I was in the past. I really like "Get
Back" and "We Can Work it Out". "Let it Be" is BJ's all-time favorite song. I think I like the Rolling Stone's version of
"Come Together" more.

I'm in the curious situation where I'm unable to recommend albums because we only own one Beatles album, and it's one of the Anthology series,
which I can't really recommend to non-serious Beatles fans.
But for individual songs...I like Strawberry Fields Forever, A Day in the Life, Magical Mystery Tour, A Hard Day's Night, All You Need is Love, Back in the USSR, Drive My Car, Eleanor Rigby, Hello Goodbye, Here Comes the Sun, Hey Jude, I Am the Walrus, I Want to Hold Your Hand, Love Me Do, Lucy in the Sky With Diamonds, Money (That's What I Want), Ob-La-Di Ob-La-Da, Octopus's Garden, Revolution, Roll Over Beethoven, Ticket to Ride, While My Guitar Gently Weeps, Yesterday. If that's too many, I can narrow it down. "My feelings hurt, but you know I overcome the pain
"Some try to tell me thoughts they cannot defend Just what you want to be, you'll be in the end" - The Moody Blues |

I think the Beatles have aged more than some other stuff from the '60's and '70's, like Jimi Hendrix and Led Zepplin. That stuff on Anthology
1 is really hoary. So, when I hear them considered to be the #1 best band of all time, I think that really overrates them. But I do like Eleanore Rigby and I
Am the Walrus.

It seems like it takes a lot of things time to hit their stride. I already mentioned how Jim Henson & Co. tossed around several different shaky ideas for
The Muppet Show before the concept finally got its footing.
But I also find it amazing that Beavis & Butt-head became so popular after seeing Mike Judge's original short that spawned the idea, "Frog Baseball". It's a good thing I wasn't the one in charge of green-lighting the show based on that because I would've turned him down without thinking twice. I can't get something out of nothing, but I never tried. www.flyingomelette.com Signature Under Construction |

judging from your choice of fav songs, i think you will like most of their songs from "sgt pepper's lonely hearts club band" album, which seems
to be a favourite among most beatle fans.
"How can we jump over our shadows when we no longer have one?How can we
pass out of the century (not to
speak of the millennium)if we do not make up our minds to put an end to it, engaged as we are in an indefinite work of mourning for all the incidents, ideologies and violence which have marked it?" - THE END OF THE MILLENNIUM OR THE COUNTDOWN , Jean Baudrillard. |

Yeah, we'll get that.
Some Electric Light Orchestra songs sound like The Beatles.

That's called being a casual fan and that's how I'd best describe myself, too.
